There will be 17 related events throughout the summer, including a crab feast and a Juneteeth celebration. “People in Baltimore have been dying of overdoses at a rate never before seen in a major American city,” as reported this past weekend by The New York Times and Baltimore Banner . Meanwhile, a recent national survey showed that only 6% of those with substance use disorder receive treatment. This is why Villa Maria Behavioral Health’s focus on co-occurring treatment is so important—many outpatient providers treat either behavioral health issues or substance use disorder. We are unique in that we treat both issues simultaneously. We treat the total person. Learn more at www.cc-md.org/vmbh.

Millions of women and girls across the country and around the globe experience period poverty, which is an inability to afford and access menstrual hygiene products. This undermines their efforts to fulfill their potential in the workplace, in the classroom, and everywhere else. On this Menstrual Hygiene Day, learn more about what the Junior League of Baltimore and Catholic Charities are doing to address this issue – and what you can do to help, as well: https://lnkd.in/epwku-5n #PeriodFriendlyWorld #MensturalHygieneDay
