Mr & Mrs Mahi OTT Release: Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor have once again collaborated for Mr & Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, after 2021 film Roohi. The film has hit the theatres today and so far it has received mixed reviews from fans as well as critics.
If the reports are to be believed, Dharma Productions has sold the rights to the movie to Netflix. Hence, the OTT platform will likely stream the film after its theatrical release.
The Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer film will likely stream two months after its OTT release. Hence, the movie will be available on OTT platform in August. However, an official announcement about the same will give more clarity on this.
The plot of Mr & Mrs Mahi revolves around cricket, focusing on the journey of two aspiring cricketers, Mahendra (played by Rajkummar Rao) and Mahima (played by Janhvi Kapoor). The story delves into their struggles, aspirations, and the dynamics of their relationship as they pursue their dreams in the competitive world of cricket.
While talking about the film, Janhvi told ANI, "It's a story about two people who get courage from each other to follow their dreams. And it’s a very lovely story. It’s not just about cricket. It’s a family drama. It’s a father and son story."
Rajkummar Rao added, "My character’s name is Mahendra, he is a failed cricketer, he had a lot of passion in his life for cricket, he wanted to be a cricket player one day and play for the country, but it didn’t happen because of peer pressure, because of family pressure, so today he is walking on the path shown by his father and then they get married, Mahima and Mahendra."
He continued, "And then how he lived his dream through her. Because she used to play cricket, so he decides that he will train her and she is a doctor."
