Rose family reunion! Schitt's Creek cast have fans in stitches as 'prompter breaks' during hilarious sketch while presenting at Emmy Awards following record-setting sweep last year
The Schitt's Creek cast reunited Sunday at the 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards after the Canadian sitcom swept all of the major comedy awards last year.
Eugene Levy, 74, his son Dan Levy, 38, Catherine O'Hara, 67, and Annie Murphy, 34, hit the carpet together at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles.
They later presented comedy awards and showed they still remain hilarious with a bit about their teleprompter not working while live on stage.

The audience gave them a warm welcome and some stood up to applaud the Schitt's Creek cast after its sixth and final season at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards set a record for winning all four major acting categories and also a new record for most Emmy wins by a comedy series in a single season.
'Thank you so much. There's nothing on the prompter,' Dan said.
Catherine and Annie wondered what to do as Eugene behaved suspiciously and wondered if the teleprompter miscue was 'on purpose'.
'Why would anyone want to embarrass us on national television on purpose?,' Dan asked.

'I don't know,' Eugene said.
Catherine then asked Eugene if he did something and he admitted talking to the writers to see if they could 'lift the dialog' a bit.
'Lift was the word that you used?,' Dan asked.

'Yeah, tighten it up a little,' Eugene said.
'And what was their response?' Catherine asked.
'Well,...' Eugene said looking at the 'blank' teleprompter.
They then presented the Emmy Award for Writing in a Comedy Series followed by Directing in a Comedy Series,

The ceremony was held last year at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with winners giving speeches remotely.
The cast this year attended the event together and looked colorful on the carpet with Eugene in black, Dan in blue, Catherine in red and Annie in green.
Eugene kept it classy with a black suit, crisp white dress shirt and white bow tie.
Dan was hard to miss in a bright blue suit with an extended wrap-around jacket along with a matching blue dress shirt.

Annie shined in a long green dress with a plunging neckline and added a pop of color with bright red lipstick.
The Canadian actress had her long blonde hair down around her shoulders and accessorized with dangling earrings and necklace.

The Crown and The Mandalorian lead the 2021 Emmys nominations, with 24 each.
The Netflix series, based on the British royal family, and Disney Plus' Star Wars spin-off racked up the impressive number of nods to bring Netflix's total to 129 with Disney Plus clocking up 71 nominations.
Marvel and Disney Plus' WandaVision followed with 23 nominations, while Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale received 21.
