Can England turn their form around and win Euro 2024? Three Lions are surprising 7/2 favourites to win the tournament despite another underwhelming showing against Slovakia

Although they were poor and unconvincing for all but three minutes on Sunday night, England are through to the quarter-final of Euro 2024 after a dramatic victory over Slovakia in the last-16 in Gelsenkirchen.

The Three Lions once again struggled with their cohesion and polish in both the midfield and attacking third, something that has been a theme of their campaign in Germany.

This was coupled with Slovakia having joy against England's defence, particularly in the first half.

Their continued pressure paid dividends as Slovakia went up 1-0 courtesy of an Ivan Schranz goal in the 25th minute.

Heading into half-time a goal down, most were of the belief that Gareth Southgate needed to make multiple changes if England had any chance of overcoming the deficit.

However, as Southgate has done many times throughout this tournament, he was reluctant to make wholesale changes despite England's dismal showing.

His questionable tactics and reluctance to use his bench ultimately wouldn't matter, as a moment of brilliance from Jude Bellingham in the 95th minute saw England equalise.

That was followed by a Harry Kane goal in the opening minute of extra time, giving his side a 2-1 lead.

They managed to hold on for the remaining half an hour to secure the unlikeliest of victories, and a result, England have booked their place in the quarter-finals where they will take on Switzerland.

And it appears the bookies are predicting England to get the job done against Switzerland and go all the way thereafter, with the Three Lions the favourites to win Euro 2024.

Kane and co are the best-backed at 7/2  to win their maiden Euros title, slightly more fancied than Spain, who are priced at 4/1.

Spain have looked extremely impressive at the tournament thus far, winning all four of their games by a combined margin of eight goals.

France, Germany and Portugal and round out the five favourites in the market, with the trio priced at 9/2, 5/1 and 7/1 respectively.
