AGELESS STYLE SOS: 'After my husband died I barely thought about what to wear – it feels so good to be spoilt'

Problem

‘I’ve had a tough year so far: my husband was very ill and he died a few months ago. I haven’t had any time for myself. I’ve been on autopilot and barely even thought about what I’m wearing. So I’m looking forward to seeing how someone else will dress me, and having the chance to try out clothes that are more colourful and feminine than I’ve worn up until now.’

Solution

Anita mentioned a love for tailoring, but also colour and adored this jacket as soon as she put it on. It’s a tailored cut, but the boxy fit and sequins make it super versatile, while the wide-leg trousers are tailored but comfy and can be paired with everything from trainers to heels.

Anita’s verdict

‘I’ve never worn wide-leg trousers before, but these are so nice. I love a bit of sparkle, so the sequin jacket looks amazing, and paired with more casual trousers it doesn’t appear over the top at all. Steph has given me so many ideas about outfits to try out over the next few weeks. It feels so good to have been spoilt after these tricky few months.’
