Hanau, Germany

  • Welcome

Google is proud to call Germany home to one of our data centers.

In 2021, we announced an investment of €1 billion to support digital infrastructure and renewable energy in Germany. As part of this investment, we opened our first Google data center in Germany in Hanau.

Hanau is an expansion of our existing Frankfurt Google Cloud region and serves the growing demand for Google Cloud services in Germany. This expansion helps our customers adapt to new requirements, new opportunities, and new ways of working in the digital economy.

It’s been more than 20 years since Google first touched down in Germany, and our commitment to helping Germany continue to lead in technical innovation is stronger than ever. We are excited to continue working with our partners across Germany to advance infrastructure and clean energy projects, help accelerate digital transformation, and secure a sustainable future for German and European companies and organizations.

We’re proud to call Hanau home and honored to be part of the local community.
