Walt Disney World to close over coronavirus concerns
Walt Disney World will close its doors to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
The closure announcement comes on the heels of a similar announcement from the park’s California counterpart, Disneyland.
Disney World will be closed March 16, and stay closed through the end of the month.
Disney Cruise Line will also suspend all new departures beginning on Saturday through the end of the month.
The hotels at Walt Disney World will remain open, as well as retail and dining complexes until further notices.

Those who work domestically for Walt Disney Company who are able to work from home are being asked to do so, including those at The Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Television, ESPN, Direct-to-Consumer, and Parks, Experiences and Products, officials said.
Walt Disney Company said they will continue to pay their cast members during the closure period.
"In an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we are proceeding with the closure of our theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Paris Resort, beginning at the close of business on Sunday, March 15, through the end of the month," the Walt Disney Company said in a release.

Universal Orlando Resort announced it will close at end of business on March, 15. Officials believe it will remain closed through the end of the month, but they said they will be evaluating the situation.
Universal Orlando Resort's Hotel and CityWalk will remain open.
Universal Orlando Resort said they have created programs to those who've booked travel packages or tickets with them.

Walt Disney Company also announce that Disneyland Paris will close on Sunday, as well.
A complete closure at Disney World is very rare. Hurricanes Floyd, Charley, Matthew, Irma and Dorian prompted closures in the past.
Disneyland announced their closure on Thursday after reviewing guidelines by California Gov. Gavin Newsom that limit gatherings of more than 250 people.
Newsom had said earlier Thursday that the guidance did not yet apply to amusement parks.
Universal Studios Hollywood will also temporarily close beginning on Saturday as well. The theme park anticipates reopening on March 28.
