NEAR WALT DISNEY WORLD. HADAS, WHEN ARE THESE PARKS CLOSING? HADAS: GOOD MORNING. SO WE’LL START WITH WALT DISNEY WORLD. THE PARK WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY AND STAY CLOSED THROUGH THE END OF THE MONTH WHERE WE ARE THIS MORNING, THE CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT, WILL ST OPEN, ALONG WITH ALL OTHER WALT DISNEY WORLD HOTELS AND RETAIL AND DINING COMPLEXES, AT LEAST FOR NOW. THE COMPANY HAS ASKED THOSE WH CAN TO WORK FROM HOME, AND SAID THEY WILL KEEP PAYING CAST MEMBERS DURING THE CLOSURE PERIOD. NOW TO UNIVERSAL, WHEN THE PARK CLOSES FOR END OF BUSINESS ON SUNDAY. IT ALSO WILL NOT OPEN AGAIN FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH. THE COMPANY DID SAY THEY’RE GOING TO EVALUATE THE SITUATION AS THINGS MOVE FORWARD. CITY WALK AND THE UNIVERSAL ORLANDO HOTELS WILL REMAIN OPEN. THEY ALSO PLAN TO PAY THEIR HOURLY WORKERS FOR ANY WORK THAT WAS SCHEDULED TO THE END OF THE MONTH. SEAWORLD DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANY PLANS TO CLOSE FOR NOW. THE PARK SENT US A STATEMENT SAYING, SEAWORLD EMPLOYEES AND EXPERIENCED OUT AND SAFETY TEAM AND HAS APPROPRIATE PROTOCOLS IN PLACE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION FOR CHANGES, COLLABORATE WITH HEALTH OFFICIALS, AND TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS. FUN SPOT STAYING FULLY OPERATIONAL FOR THE TIME BEING. THEY NOTED NEW STEPS THEY ARE TAKING TO CLEAN THE PARK AND SAID WE ARE ABLE TO DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY. Walt Disney World to close over coronavirus concerns
Walt Disney World will close its doors to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The closure announcement comes on the heels of a similar announcement from the park’s California counterpart, Disneyland. Disney World will be closed March 16, and stay closed through the end of the month.Disney Cruise Line will also suspend all new departures beginning on Saturday through the end of the month. The hotels at Walt Disney World will remain open, as well as retail and dining complexes until further notices. Disney annual passes will be extended for number of days the park is closedThose who work domestically for Walt Disney Company who are able to work from home are being asked to do so, including those at The Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Television, ESPN, Direct-to-Consumer, and Parks, Experiences and Products, officials said. Walt Disney Company said they will continue to pay their cast members during the closure period. "In an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we are proceeding with the closure of our theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Paris Resort, beginning at the close of business on Sunday, March 15, through the end of the month," the Walt Disney Company said in a release.>>> Latest coronavirus information in Central Florida Universal Orlando Resort announced it will close at end of business on March, 15.
