A team of bankers and professors in Japan have launched the Pluga AI Fund, which uses a web-mining software to track keywords that may affect the Nikkei 225 Index across about 20 million Japanese blogs. The software model was developed by the University of Tokyo's Yutaka Matsuo and uses Matsuo's algorithm to invest in Nikkei futures. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has renewed operating licenses for an additional 20-years for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station outside of Phoenix, Arizona.
