The Motopark Academy signs Rene Binder for the ATS Formula 3 Cup

After Rene Binder impressively proved his racing capabilities during a test event in Estoril (POR) beginning of December 2009, an agreement could be settled. " I am very happy to again have a talented austrian racedriver in the team after Andreas Zuber", Timo Rumpfkeil states.

The young austrian talent from Zillertal (AUT) was already able to gather experience in Formula Motorsport during the past season. Together with Daniel Abt Rene participated the ADAC Formula Masters for Abt Sportsline. The former runner-up of the German Challenger Karting Championship was able to step up the podium three times, finishing the ADAC Formula Masters championship on the seventh position.

There is no doubt that Rene is a very talented and ambitious young race driver, Timo Rumpfkeil once again noticed in Estoril while testing for the ATS Formula 3 Cup: "Rene clearly exceeded our expectations. Although he did not spend as much time on the track as our permanent drivers his laptimes were not far off at all. In addition to his driving capability he convinced us with his systematic and concentrated working method."

Being relieved and satisfied with the achieved settlement the 18 year old HTL-Student looks forward to the upcoming season in the ATS Formula 3 Cup: "I am happy to be part of the Motopark Academy team in 2010, especially because the Motpark Academy is one of the most successful and professional teams. I already felt very comfortabel during the tests in Estoril and luckily I was able to proove that I am in the condition for stepping up to the next league in motorsports. For me the most important thing right now is to keep working hard and justify the trust everybody put into me from the very first moment."

"We will do our very best to place Rene in the Top 6 of the ATS Formula 3 Cup. Nevertheless we are aware of the challenge to coordinate Renes' educational duties on the one hand and the test events on the other hand, we are still very optimistic to fulfill the set goal for next season", says teamowner Timo Rumpfkeil.

Rene will meanwhile pursue one of his favourite hobbies - skiing! He already prepared himself intensly for the wintertests on the slopes in Zillertal: "I learned to be a bit more careful, but there is no life without skiing here in Tirol. It is my favourite hobby besides karting and I think it helps to practise coordination and getting a good feeling for turning."
